Gospel Reflection: God’s Grace Is Not a Competition

📖 Matthew 20:1-16

“Are you envious because I am generous?”
Matthew 20:15

In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us that God’s generosity is beyond human understanding. The workers who came at the last hour received the same daily wage as those who had worked all day.

God does not measure His love the way we do. His grace is a gift, not something we earn by comparing ourselves with others.

Never be jealous when God blesses someone else. Their blessing does not reduce what God has prepared for you. Trust His timing and remain faithful.

Perhaps you feel you have come to God too late or wasted too many years. Remember: it is never too late to return to God. The worker who came at the last hour was still welcomed into the vineyard.

🙏 Lord Jesus, remove jealousy and comparison from my heart. Teach me to rejoice when others are blessed and to trust Your timing for my life. Help me to remain faithful and grateful for every grace You give me. Amen.

“Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last.” — Matthew 20:16

❤️ God’s timing is never too late, and His grace is always enough.
